Well, I guess I'm doing a blog now.

So, for my English class, we are doing a 20-Time Project. We get 20% of our week (every Friday) to do whatever we want that we never had time for before. I have chosen to write a book and try to get it published. I know you are probably sitting there laughing at me because what are the odds that a high school student with hardly any writing experience gets published. Well, I set this as my goal to give myself motivation to write the best book I can possibly write.

Writing has always come very naturally to me. Maybe I am not writing a note-worthy book that kids will be required to read in 50 years, but can't I dream that I am? If you haven't met me yet, you should know that I am the shy girl who struggles to speak in front of crowds and often runs into trouble stringing together a proper sentence. But when I am writing, I can think clearly and words come to me with ease. Knowing that I get to spend every Friday for the rest of the school year writing makes me extremely happy.

I understand that I'm going to have so many problems. I'm the type of person to get really excited to start a project, then burnout almost as quickly as I started it. Fortunately, I have time set aside each week that requires me to keep pushing through. Not to mention I am extremely passionate about this project and am determined to not lose interest.

Through this blog, I will keep everyone updated on everything they wanted to know (or didn't want to know) about my progress. I really do not know what I am doing as of now, so this blog is a documentation of me getting it together. Each week, I plan to write as much as possible. Other than that, I am just going to get to things as they come along.

I am not suggesting that you will enjoy my book or reading my over-dramatic blogs, but I sure will and that is what this is all about.
